One of those weather things …
We’re actually pretty lucky – just a relatively small number of branches fallen from our trees …
… and we were out of power for only 37 hours, just long enough for the house to dip to a 50-60 °F range (in other words, no frozen pipes). A huge virtual hug for the people at Blue Grass Energy for their efforts in getting the power back. (Ditto for the other utility folk working throughout the state.)
Of course, I got to experience how the pioneers did their computing, by firelight.
It’s off to Rupp Arena today with a bag of stuff for Kentuckians still without power (several hundreds of thousands as of this morning, according to the newspaper).
